Beautiful June . Summer Series

June came and went too fast.  Filled with family, camping, golf, ice cream and lazy spring evenings.

Just how we like it.

Back in June I had mentioned in a post here about documenting your everyday summer stories.  Being that we are over half way through July, I have to say I am super grateful I have been picking up the camera for a few minutes almost every day.  Not perfect (but what is really ;)).  Some days more than others and a few not at all ... but more than what I have in the past.

I hope you have too.

Soon to be 3.

Telling stories is what I like to do.

Me + NYC

This past weekend I spent a whole 36 hours in NYC.   Here's a few things I learned and a few things I managed to see. Everything moves a little a lot faster.

A helicopter circling and a flag waving in the wind.

The colours.  The colours are amazing.

From small town farmer, to meeting with 6 executives on the 25th floor of this building on his first trip to NYC.  One of the most determined people I know.

Talent everywhere.  If you can sing on the streets of NYC and people stop to listen, you know it's got to be good.

Landmarks.

A city with character.

Beautiful skylines that deserve to be seen with an open sky.

A building that stands out mainly because it stands alone.  And a tree that seemed to just match the building behind it.

The stories of these buildings must be amazing.

A store only Apple would create.

Streets upon streets like this.

The store we thought we would never arrive at.

A big city, but it's the details that I loved.

The one and only Central Park.

And the one and only Trump Tower.

The view from our hotel.  Kinda different from the view at home ;).

The glow of the evening lights.

Inspiration e.v.e.r.y.w.h.e.r.e.  Love this wall display.

It's a good thing this store isn't too close to home.

And a moon touching the city skyline.

SPEECHLESS.

I strongly feel that as a member of this community and operating a small business here, it is essential to give back in some way.  This year I decided to support three local non-profit organizations providing items for their silent auctions at their events.  The Strive Dance Academy, The Chase Brewster Memorial Foundation and The Festival of Trees.   Supporting youth, people and organizations close to my heart and community betterment.  All very important to me. The first two charities held their events earlier in the year, while the Festival of Trees is coming up at the end of November.

Now, getting down to what this post is really about.  In preparation for my display the the Festival of Trees, I decided to contact my past and present clients to ask if they could provide me with a few testimonials to add to my slideshow presentation.

In opening the emails I felt overwhelmed.  Thankful.  Grateful.  SPEECHLESS.

I am not writing this post to tell all of you reading this what others have said about my work.  I want to write this to tell you what I have to say about my clients.

You are all of the amazement and beauty.  You are all of the inspiration.  You are all of the sunshine.  You are all of the stories.  I just take the time to see it and in hopes of being able to show it to you, so that YOU can see it too.

Thank you just doesn't seem to be enough.
